Portfara Portfara

About Portfara

A private wealth dashboard for portfolios that span more than one broker, one currency and one country.

The problem

Portfolio trackers are built for the account you could manage without one. They handle a brokerage login and a list of tickers, then stop. The private pension is unsupported. The term deposit is not treated as an investment. The fund lists on an exchange they have never heard of. The bond trades somewhere else entirely.

Those positions are frequently the larger and a seriously quieter half of a portfolio. Omitting them does not make a total approximate. It makes it wrong, in a direction you cannot correct by eye. Portfara is built on the requirement that everything fits, including the assets nobody will price for you automatically.

Currency is the other half of the problem. When assets are held in multiple currencies, manual tracking and then consolidating them in one place becomes increasingly difficult. Portfara allows you to view your total assets in any currency you choose, with daily exchange rate tracking.

Principles

Not a broker

Portfara reads. It cannot place a trade or move money, and keys capable of either are refused at connection.

Not an adviser

It shows you what happened and what moved. It does not recommend positions or forecast returns.

Not an ad business

No analytics, no advertising, no data sold. There is no second customer whose interests compete with yours.

Not a regular news feed

News is matched to the holdings you have, and every price move is measured against your net worth.

How it is built

Portfara runs as a single application on European infrastructure in Helsinki. No microservice sprawl, no analytics scripts in your browser, no analytics platform holding a copy of your behaviour. The one piece of third-party content is TradingView’s charts, on holding and currency pages.

This is a security decision before it is an engineering one. Every additional service is another party that must be trusted with something, and for an application holding this class of data the most reliable way to be trustworthy is to involve fewer parties.

Market data comes from named sources, including the European Central Bank for exchange rates, TEFAS for Turkish funds and public market-data services for prices. Holdings show where their price came from and when it was last refreshed.

Where we are

Portfara is in private beta with a small group of users running their real portfolios on it. Access is by invitation, and the product is free during this period.

Why invitation-only. Depth of feedback from people using Portfara seriously is worth more at this stage than volume. If you would like access, get in touch.
